A small amber light marked AUXILIARY FAULT above the main panel in the old county school basement—blinking since October 3 until Gordon Pike found it steady.

Gordon Pike wrote it down, reported it, requested a contractor, and underlined

STILL twice on a yellow pad when the light kept blinking. He put blue tape beside

it and wrote CHECKED to reassure others. When the light stopped blinking and

went steady, he texted Nessa: AUX STOPPED BLINKING. CHECKING THEN HOME. A blink

can mean complaint. A steady light can mean conclusion.
