The Last False Alarm
Appears in The Last False Alarm
Edward Vale's unfinished personal picture—also called Signal 9, The Man Who Cried Midnight, and Ruth, Pick Up—a script about a man whose alarm is real because no one comes.
Ed Vale worked on this picture in the Carver Street garage on the night he died.
A script page found beside the workbench reads INT. GARAGE — NIGHT, with a
pencil line beneath: "The man realizes the alarm is real because no one comes."
The title became the episode because Ed would have believed titles mattered,
and therefore they matter some.
